Another iPod question!?

I just asked a question on how to sync songs onto my iPod. Then they are telling me that some icon should pop up when I use the usb cable to connect my iPod to my computer. I plugged it in and I waited a couple minutes for something to pop up but nothing isn't popping up on my computer now. I've also tried going to My Computer to see if it went there but there was nothing there for my iPod! What should I do to make it pop up so I can add songs to it!? And yes, I do have iTunes.

I also just reset my iPod too!
