Can I update my iPhone firmware if I jailbrake it?

June 27th, 2008 · 1 Comment

I'm thinking about jailbreaking my iPhone, but I'm wondering if I should wait until the 2.0 and SDK updates come in July. Will jailbreaking my iPhone prevent me from updating the firmware? Thanks!
I'm not unlocking it; I'll still have att. I just want to jailbreak it so I can use third party apps and customize the homescreen.
jailbreak= make the phone open for reading and writing of applications.
unlock=make phone open for other cell carriers.
