Do you think the 3G iPhone may be available with a 1-year contract?

I find it highly unlikely that I will keep any phone two years, so I was just wondering if anyone has heard that maybe you can just pay more money and get a 1-year contract, like on some other phones.
Also, my dad works for AT&T and gets a 10% discount on all phones and plans…do you think this will work for the iPhone? I think he said it would, but I can't remember.
