eligible for upgrade w/ at&t / cingular. will the iphone G3 be an option at discounted price?

i'm now able to upgrade since my 2 year contract has ended. at&t has a long list of phones at a discounted price if i sign up for 2 more years. my question is, will the iphone G3 be discounted as well w/ the 2 year contract?

if it's not, should i upgrade to get a new phone for free, then buy the iphone G3 for $199 so my 2 year contract won't go to waste? hope that makes sense.
