help i dont know what console to get ps3 or xbox 360?

i got a xbox 360 and got the 3 ring of death 2 times. first one was in 5 minutes. second time was in 2 days. i played my xbox 360 in the air conditonar at 60 degrees and it still messed up. i am planning on getting a 40 gb ps3 but i heard it has a 40 percent failure rate. what should i get need help.
