How do i import things to itunes such as avi files and more….?

hi i have a a windows xp computer and i have itunes quicketime and all that. i can't import avi files to itunes. quicktime player recognizes them and will play them but i can't import it. i have a mac as well. my mac can import them with movie2itunes or something like that. but it wont work with my windows xp computer. can someone please help me out with this. i really wan't to import my movie's that end it avi.
