How do I uninstall iTunes??

I have the old itunes from my previous ipod but I bought an iTouch. When I plug it in, it doesnt show up on devices. I tried reinstalling itunes but its not working and keeps showing up with an error. I tried deleting it in Program Files but its not letting me delete it. So how do i uninstall itunes so i can dl the new one??
