How do you unlock more characters on MarioKart Wii?

I have one more Grand Prix to unlock: Mirror Lightning Cup
But I have one character missing, so that would probably unlock one more character. However, I don’t have Funky Kong, Birdo, Dry Bowser, Baby Bowser, Baby Luigi, and Baby Daisy. How do you unlock those characters?
