my ipod turned off around 12:55 which is weird because i've had my ipod exactly a year from Sunday and it shouldnt be messing up should it? it was on my ipod dock at the time so i figured maybe it got overheated or something then i took it off and started up my itunes to listen to my music from there but my itunes isnt working either! can anyone help??? it went through the wash about three months ago but it has been workign fine, no problems ever since we let it dry for a good few weeks afterwards, so yeahh thanks in advance,

You washed your ipod!
you were lucky it worked for so long!
the hard drive must have corroded - its dead!! hard drive + moisture + time = dead drive (no excectiions)
that should no have affected itunes, perhaps best option is to remove it and reinstall itunes as you may have corrupted some files when the ipod blew connected on the dock!

You might need to reset it.
Hold 'Menu' and the circle button in the middle down for a while, and the apple apple should appear.
If not you may have to go to the apple store to see someone there.
I have had mine fot almost three years and when i ever its goes wrong i reset it and works fine.
Try downloading iTunes again.
