Should we modify the PSP Slim & Lite to play .ISO and .CSO games?

I think its firmware version is 3.93.
But when I checked the Homebrew Info Site there is no software to downgrade this firmware version(3.93) to custom firmware version?
Is this any other site where we can downgrade this firmware(3.93) to custom firmware?
Without modifying can we still play .ISO and .CSO game in it?
